Job Summary

Maintain tractors, trailers, and live production equipment to ensure continuous operations while following DOT regulations and Tyson safety policies. Diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment, perform routine maintenance, and assist with installing and maintaining parts under supervision. Support shop upkeep, wear required PPE, and meet physical job requirements. Also shuttle tractor/trailers to other locations as needed on the 1st shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain tractors, trailers, and live production equipment in operating condition through diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance.
•Change trailer and tractor tires and maintain support equipment.
•Assemble or reassemble complex equipment requiring maintenance knowledge with supervision.
•Maintain a clean work area and follow safety practices and procedures while wearing proper PPE.
•Shuttle tractor/trailers to other locations as needed.

•6 months of Diesel Mechanic experience or graduation of a Diesel Mechanic Training Program.

•Must be able to diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and live production equipment.
•Must understand written and verbal instructions, shop manuals, and perform basic computer skills for data input.
