Job Summary

Build and lead Traba’s agentic platform: the orchestration runtime, evaluation and observability stack, and the integration layer to customer and internal systems. Own foundational technical decisions across model strategy, harness design, retrieval/memory architecture, and quality measurement. Spend time in the field to translate real warehouse and facility workflows into repeatable deployment patterns, and establish evaluation as an engineering discipline while hiring and mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect Traba’s agent platform end-to-end, including orchestration runtime, eval and observability stack, integration layer (WMS/TMS/ERP), and agent patterns.
•Own foundational technical decisions for model strategy, harness design, retrieval and memory architecture, tool/MCP surface, and quality measurement.
•Spend time in the field with customers and operators to turn real observations into durable product and repeatable deployment patterns.
•Build evaluation as an engineering discipline, including datasets, graders, regression suites, and experimentation tooling.
•Hire and mentor engineers, setting the standard for “good,” and partner with the CTO, product, and ops leadership on the multi-year platform roadmap.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 240,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years of software engineering, with 2+ years of hands-on production work on LLM- or agent-based systems.
•Deep experience in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with a track record designing distributed systems, APIs, and data models on PostgreSQL and modern messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent).
•Demonstrated ownership of a non-trivial production agent system, including orchestration, tool use, retrieval, evals, observability, and cost/latency tuning.
•Experience mapping to vertical AI / AI-agent companies, forward-deployed engineering roles, or AI-native data companies (bonus for supply chain, logistics, or industrial exposure).
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including running workshops, writing design docs, and recruiting future teammates.
