Lead Visa’s Acquirer advisory practice for SEA within Visa Consulting & Analytics, guiding teams to develop client-specific strategies, thought leadership, and advisory solutions for merchant acquiring. Build credibility by tracking acquiring trends, drive business development by identifying priority clients and converting prospects, and selectively oversee key projects to deliver tangible client outcomes. Grow and staff the Acquirer expert community across Southeast Asia while strengthening VCA’s acquiring expertise.

Key Responsibilities

•Build thought leadership by identifying and tracking merchant acquiring trends and establishing Visa’s credibility as an advisor.
•Drive business development by partnering with Visa teams to target priority SEA clients, pitch solutions, and convert prospects.
•Oversee and execute key client projects as needed, maintaining a high bar for tangible client outcomes.
•Define advisory solutions that address acquirers’ biggest pain points and deliver business value across stakeholders.
•Attract and develop talent to grow the Acquirer practice, influencing hiring and building a community of acquiring experts across SEA.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•12 to 15+ years hands-on experience in merchant acquiring across Southeast Asia, including building, operating, and scaling acquiring businesses in regional markets.
•A consulting background or strong consulting skillset to structure complex problems, generate data-driven insights, and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
•Strong executive presence and a track record of managing senior client relationships.
•Strong commercial acumen with experience building business/value cases demonstrating ROI.
•Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) to support client engagements and projects across Southeast Asia.
