Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of LXD and MicroCloud.
  • •Mentor, develop, and advise colleagues to support their career progression.
  • •Develop in Golang and C and review code produced by other engineers.
  • •Ensure the product is secure and performant.
  • •Provide technical leadership in Canonical and in community engagements.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, with an exceptional academic track record.
  • •Experience with Go and C, including building and architecting systems in these languages.
  • •Experience with container technologies and modern cloud infrastructure offerings, including their APIs and underlying technologies.
  • •Experience with storage, networking, virtualization, and concurrent distributed systems.
  • •Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) and strong performance and security focus, with professional English communication.
