Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead NEPA, environmental permitting, and planning projects for transportation, infrastructure, resilience, energy, and public-sector clients.
  • •Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, client communications, relationships, and overall delivery.
  • •Develop permitting and regulatory compliance strategies with agencies such as USACE, FHWA, state DOTs, coastal management agencies, and environmental resource agencies.
  • •Prepare and oversee technical deliverables including technical reports, permit applications, environmental assessments, environmental impact evaluations, and regulatory correspondence.
  • •Lead proposal efforts (capture planning, technical approach, scope/fee preparation, interviews, and client presentations) and support new business development.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science and Policy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •8+ years of experience managing environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance projects.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
  • •Strong understanding of federal and state (VT, NH, ME) environmental review and permitting requirements, including NEPA, USACE permitting, Coastal Zone Management Act, ESA, and NHPA.
  • •Exceptional technical writing skills for environmental documents, permit applications, technical memoranda, and regulatory correspondence.
