Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership to design teams and ensure delivery of schemes to time and budget.
  • •Oversee multi-disciplinary projects, manage budget and financial performance, and maintain client relationships.
  • •Undertake technical preparation, review and checking of deliverables, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards.
  • •Lead and manage staff in delivering design drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities; support tender package preparation.
  • •Coordinate with Roads team and broader Transport & Infrastructure groups to achieve objectives and resource planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • •Proven track record delivering highway/roads schemes in local or national transport.
  • •Experience with design and contract administration, including preparation of tender packages and contract documents.
  • •Ability to lead design teams, oversee multi-disciplinary outputs, and mentor junior staff.
  • •Familiarity with design codes (Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD) and CDM requirements.
