Job Summary

Join the Account Integrity team to safeguard Wise against financial crime. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of projects that build and refine controls to prevent account takeovers, and help deliver backend-heavy crime prevention and detection systems with some frontend work. Key Responsibilities

•Build and refine controls to protect Wise customers from account takeovers.
•Own development of backend and frontend components for crime prevention and detection systems (80% backend, 20% frontend).
•Continuously improve financial crime prevention infrastructure and systems to create measurable customer security impact.
•Design and operate CI/CD pipelines and distributed, concurrent systems supporting scalable detection.
•Collaborate across Product, Data Science, and Investigations to drive data-driven decisions and project delivery.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 87,500 - 111,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework, and building scalable web applications handling high traffic.
•Experience with React-based frontend development plus JavaScript/TypeScript.
•Proven ability designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, distributed and concurrent systems.
•Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimisation and designing resilient schemas.
•Strong code quality and problem-solving with a commitment to Test Driven Development and best coding practices.
