Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned base of sophisticated wealth management clients, maintaining mastery of governing documents and fiduciary duties.
  • •Lead client conversations on holistic, goals-driven wealth management and advise on products/services, issues, and regulatory or tax changes.
  • •Identify opportunities to enhance relationships by applying fiduciary standards and Northern Trust resources to deliver high-quality service.
  • •Provide proactive client service through effective written and verbal communication and strong time management.
  • •Recognize fiduciary risk issues and apply sound judgment in compliance with internal policies and procedures; mentor others on complex fiduciary matters.

Key Requirements

  • •12–15 years of experience as a relationship manager or attorney in trust/estate administration or related fields.
  • •College or university degree; JD or similar credential strongly preferred.
  • •Extensive knowledge of fiduciary and financial products/services, including investments, tax, legal, and operational considerations.
  • •Deep understanding of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations supported by training or advanced education.
  • •Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with ability to negotiate, delegate, and organize effectively.
