Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the roadmap for the VPC control plane and evolve network virtualization systems delivering VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancing, NAT, and connectivity.
  • •Oversee design of distributed control-plane services including intent APIs, state reconciliation, network policy compilation, and southbound host/DPU programming.
  • •Lead reliability engineering: convergence and API-latency benchmarking, regression prevention, and incident response to ensure operational excellence.
  • •Mentor and grow senior/staff distributed systems engineers; set technical standards and build a culture of accountability.
  • •Partner closely with data-plane teams and cloud product teams to deliver low-latency, highly available networking for multi-tenant GPU clusters.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in distributed systems or cloud networking engineering, with 5-7+ years managing senior/staff-level talent.
  • •Deep knowledge of SDN and network virtualization, including overlay networking (VXLAN/Geneve) and VPC constructs.
  • •Experience with routing (BGP/EVPN) and control-plane architectures such as OVN/OVS or equivalents.
  • •Hands-on experience building large-scale control planes: state reconciliation, consensus/consistency trade-offs, API design, and fleet-wide configuration propagation (e.g., Go, Kubernetes-style controllers).
