Job Summary

Proxy Product Owner responsible for end-to-end design, launch, and scaling of non-banking propositions within Mashreq’s digital ecosystem. Leads ecosystem development and partner integration, coordinating with technology, digital studio, architects, and external partners to deliver customer-centric, revenue-generating solutions across travel, lifestyle, telco, and e-commerce ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

•Ecosystem & Marketplace Development: Evaluate strategic partners across travel, lifestyle, and emerging ecosystem categories based on integration capabilities and ensure seamless integration of partner solutions into existing digital channels.
•Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Act as a bridge between business, partners, and technology teams; collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and the Product Owner to understand, define and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
•Squad Management: Lead sprint planning, refinement, and delivery with cross-functional teams; handle urgent incidents and improvements; propose and implement structural improvements to work processes.
•Backlog Management and Prioritization: Support the Product Owner in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog; assist in backlog grooming, including story estimation and breaking down epics into smaller stories; ensure alignment of stories with priorities.
•Agile Ceremonies and Collaboration: Act as liaison between Product Owner and development team; facilitate agile ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) with insights and clarifications on user stories; resolve conflicts and remove impediments.

Key Requirements

•5-8 years of digital banking, fintech or technology experience in digital banking, fintech or technology industries
•Minimum 5 years of experience gathering requirements and translating into user requirements, data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience
•Experience with APIs, SDKs, integrations, and platform architectures
•Experience in vendor/partner management
•Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
