Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork; facilitate routine truck service and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs), background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, and be at least 21 years old.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
