Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, document, commission, and test RF characteristics for US Navy LF/VLF radio transmitter hardware modifications.
  • •Design, configure, and maintain VLF/LF waveforms and modulations on real-time systems.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot antenna structures and equipment impurities (e.g., tuning houses, loading coils, capacitor banks) and perform repairs per manufacturer specifications.
  • •Perform RF checks, point-to-point testing, acceptance testing, and on-site troubleshooting; generate test procedures, reports, and redlines.
  • •Use and maintain electronic test equipment while following ESD controls and calibration requirements, and evaluate propagation impacts using site performance logs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High school with 9+ years (or commensurate experience) in a relevant engineering/scientist role, or a BS in lieu of experience with six (6) years of relevant experience.
  • •Clearance required: must be able to obtain SECRET.
  • •U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of the role.
  • •Experience with automated industrial control systems, including systems analysis/architecture, systems/equipment support, test and evaluation, and logistics support.
  • •Hands-on electronics technician skills: interpret schematics, troubleshoot at the component level, and perform cable fabrication, connectorization, and soldering/rework while following safe work practices around high voltage/high power systems.
