Key Responsibilities

  • •Assurance planning: design, coordinate and execute comprehensive risk assurance activities, including effectiveness reviews to ensure EU-wide adherence to the enterprise risk framework.
  • •Thematic reviews: conduct targeted reviews across risk areas to assess design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
  • •Remediation: identify improvements within risk management framework, propose practical solutions and track remediation to completion.
  • •Stakeholder engagement: proactively engage with business and risk stakeholders to understand products and risk profiles.
  • •Reporting & governance: contribute to risk governance by reporting insights, trends and remediation progress to senior management committees.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong background in risk assurance, internal audit, and/or risk management within European regulatory/financial services landscape; banking or fintech experience is a plus.
  • •Proven ability to plan and execute diverse assurance activities, from effectiveness reviews to thematic deep dives, with root-cause analysis focus.
  • •Experience leading reviews across risk areas including ICT, Information Security, Financial/Prudential, Fraud and Financial Crime, Operational and Conduct Risk.
  • •Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO) and practical application to 2LOD oversight.
  • •Hands-on ability to identify and test risks/controls, with a keen eye for weaknesses and impactful remediation.
