Job Summary

Provide commercial legal support for consumer product licensing and related services across EMEA and APAC, partnering with category and creative teams within the Business & Legal Affairs group. Draft, manage, and negotiate high-volume IP license and service agreements, advise stakeholders on rights, risks, and legal research, and create ad-hoc contracts as needs evolve. Coordinate internally with tax, compliance, IP/trademark, privacy, and litigation teams, and support royalty audits and template updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams across category management, product development, creative, and finance to identify and resolve business and legal issues.
•Draft, manage, and negotiate a high volume of intellectual property license and service agreements for licensing, distribution, promotion, and marketing of consumer goods.
•Serve as a link between business stakeholders and internal corporate teams (tax, compliance, IP/trademark, privacy, and litigation).
•Provide legal guidance on business propositions and underlying rights, conducting legal research and advising on issues and risks.
•Create ad-hoc contracts, manage legal communication with external partners, and support royalty audits, royalty interpretation, and settlement agreements.

Key Requirements

•UK-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, with potential consideration for candidates below 3 years’ PQE based on relevant licensing experience.
•Proven commercial/transactional legal experience, ideally in a global entertainment studio or similar media/entertainment company handling inbound and/or outbound licensing matters.
•Strong contract drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
•Solid understanding of intellectual property, contract, and commercial law, including the ability to deliver practical, accurate, and timely legal advice.
•Familiarity with legal software and tools such as DocuSign, DMS, and Salesforce.
