Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage strategic purchasing and supplier management, including pricing and contract negotiations for non-framework items within budgets and obtaining minimum offers (at least 3 comparisons).
  • •Identify new products and trends and reliable sourcing sources; share synergies with management and Kempinski Trading.
  • •Oversee ordering and master data maintenance (min/max stock levels and packaging/containers), plus receiving goods and handling delivery complaints in coordination with accounts payable.
  • •Ensure inventory monitoring to avoid slow-moving items, conduct monthly checks and quarterly inventory counts.
  • •Direct team scheduling and onboarding (viaPPE), run training sessions, ensure compliance with Kempinski policies and the code of conduct, and continuously optimize the purchasing handbook.

Key Requirements

  • •Over 5 years of experience in leading purchasing roles with proven success in strategic procurement for volume-strong multi-outlet businesses in the luxury sector.
  • •Deep product and quality understanding for F&B goods, luxury products, and upscale cuisine.
  • •Strong commercial judgment, excellent negotiation skills, and solid knowledge of contract and inventory management.
  • •Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • •Fluent German and English (spoken and written), plus knowledge of common inventory management systems and beneficial experience with Opera and Micros.
