Key Responsibilities

  • •Strictly adhere to Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
  • •Inspect scrap metal shipments received via truck, rail car, or ship to ensure materials meet specifications and are free from environmental hazards per scrap acceptance policy.
  • •Record inspection data (weight, grade, content, quantity) and notify supervisors of problems, recommending remedial procedures.
  • •Direct safe and orderly unloading of vehicles delivering scrap and provide backup/assistance throughout the yard as needed.
  • •Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions and support internal control responsibilities including communicating noncompliance or policy violations.

  • •High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience in a similar role (preferred).
