Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide compliance advisory support to the APAC FX team in Singapore, Australia, and China regarding regulatory requirements and market best practice.
  • •Assist with management of the monitoring and surveillance program for the APAC FX business.
  • •Represent compliance in governance forums and analyze, prepare, and submit required reports, data, and documentation.
  • •Evaluate regulatory requirements and expectations against existing processes and controls to identify and escalate regulatory risks and gaps, including recommending procedural changes.
  • •Embed and execute global/regional Compliance Program activities (monitoring, testing, assurance, and action plans) and support related compliance projects and training.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous FX experience in a global financial institution, with sales/trading desk advisory experience (derivatives knowledge a plus).
  • •Knowledge of Asia FX regulations, primarily MAS, and relevant Singaporean, Korean, Australian, and Chinese law.
  • •Understanding of FX derivatives regulations (e.g., trade reporting) and operational processing (trade booking, settlement, confirmations), including ASIC derivative transaction reporting obligations.
  • •Experience providing compliance advisory and operational support for business changes and new product launches.
  • •Strong organisational skills and communication ability, with familiarity across risk/compliance stakeholder groups; project management skills preferred.
