Job Summary

Own end-to-end cybersecurity responsibilities for assigned classified/controlled information systems as the primary cybersecurity authority. Lead system authorization and continuous monitoring using DoD frameworks and guidance, maintain inspection readiness, assess and communicate cybersecurity risk, and develop authorization artifacts and compliance documentation. Manage POA&M closure and Change Control Boards, coordinate corrective actions, mentor ISSOs, and provide senior leadership status reporting from Cedar Rapids, onsite.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary cybersecurity authority for assigned classified and controlled information systems, ensuring security objectives and managing organizational risk.
•Lead system authorization, continuous monitoring, and inspection readiness using RMF and applicable DoD guidance.
•Maintain awareness of DD Form 254s and contractual security requirements to align controls, inspection scope, and authorization boundaries with mission objectives.
•Develop, maintain, and validate cybersecurity plans, authorization artifacts, and compliance documentation for audit-ready operations.
•Lead risk identification and communication, POA&M closure, and cybersecurity Change Control Boards; mentor ISSOs and provide status reporting to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
•U.S. citizenship required; active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance required on day one.
•IAM Level III certification compliant with DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC).
•Experience performing ISSM responsibilities for classified or controlled information systems.
•Advanced knowledge of RMF and DoD system authorization processes, including executing authorization and continuous monitoring using JSIG and/or DAAG.
