Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead construction management and project delivery activities for major transportation infrastructure projects throughout Colorado, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and roadway improvements.
  • •Provide senior-level technical and operational leadership to construction management teams based on construction management leadership experience.
  • •Mentor, coach, and develop construction managers, resident engineers, inspectors, and other construction management professionals.
  • •Resolve complex construction issues, disputes, claims, schedule challenges, change orders, contractor performance, and field-related problems; serve as an escalation point.
  • •Establish and maintain QA/QC practices and oversee delivery performance including staffing, workload, financial performance, schedules, quality, risk, and operational execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • •Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain a Colorado PE license.
  • •Previous experience as a CDOT Program Engineer, Area Engineer, Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, or comparable senior transportation construction leadership role.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading construction management teams on major transportation infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, tunnels, or other complex roadway infrastructure).
  • •Strong knowledge of Colorado transportation project delivery practices, including experience working with CDOT and/or public-sector transportation agencies.
