Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, maintain, and scale customer-facing payment APIs with clear contracts and predictable behavior.
  • •Lead complex projects end to end, clarifying requirements, evaluating trade-offs, planning incremental delivery, and owning testing and rollout.
  • •Operate critical payment systems, participate in on-call rotation, investigate incidents, and follow through on reliability fixes.
  • •Improve performance, observability, fault tolerance, and security using automation to reduce repetitive operational work.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building, maintaining, and scaling customer-facing financial or payment APIs with strong payments knowledge.
  • •Experience designing and operating high-volume, highly available distributed systems where correctness, security, and reliability matter.
  • •Understanding of payment API concerns including idempotency, retries, asynchronous processing, backward compatibility, and partial failures.
  • •Track record leading complex engineering projects from unclear requirements through production, including trade-offs and partner coordination.
