Job Summary

Lead transportation and roadway design projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering through final design, providing guidance on schedule, budget, and profitability. Manage alternative delivery (P3, DB, CM/GC) work in coordination with GDOT and internal teams across disciplines like roadway, structures, hydraulics/drainage, traffic, planning, and environmental. Provide client service, review project deliverables, and mentor junior engineers while supporting long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide superior client service using quality management and production management for specifications, reports, and analyses that meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
•Coordinate across design disciplines (Planning, Environmental, Roadway, Structures, Hydraulics/Drainage, and Traffic) and remote office locations.
•Collaborate with leadership on long-range plans, including recommendations on staffing and mentoring junior staff.
•Manage projects to maintain schedule, budget, and profitability, overseeing plans, specifications, proposals, and RFC packages.
•Lead transportation design projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering through final design, including training staff-level engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
•Professional Engineering (PE) license.
•10+ years of experience on large transportation and infrastructure projects focused on Alternative Delivery.
•Significant experience working with DOT projects and clients.
•Familiarity with design applications such as MicroStation/OpenRoads/InRoads, HCS, and Geopak.
