Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately and timely test samples received into the QC laboratory, following the sample prioritization plan.
  • •Standardize and operate lab equipment; calibrate/check ICP instruments and troubleshoot/correct instrument problems.
  • •Enter laboratory data into the LQM database and run interim and final reports to release samples for production use.
  • •Perform laboratory infrastructure duties such as restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, disposing samples, and managing sample retains.
  • •Train others in routine test methodology and serve as a first aid responder; assist PERT team in emergencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline is required.
  • •10 years of laboratory experience is desired (from college training in laboratory science or equivalent experience).
  • •Advanced understanding of acid/base titrations and Karl Fischer moisture methods, including manual titrations and related analytical techniques.
  • •Basic computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • •Experience with Thermo LQM software, including logging in samples, editing tests, and cancelling samples; plus expertise using ICP instruments and troubleshooting instrument problems.
