Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the CIRT team, including tasking, prioritization, oversight, shift coverage, and escalation paths.
  • •Triage cyber incidents and determine scope, urgency, impact, and recommended courses of action.
  • •Guide and perform collection and analysis of network/host artifacts (logs, images, packet captures) to identify root cause and operational impact.
  • •Oversee real-time cyber defense incident handling, ensuring incidents are managed, documented, tracked, and reported from detection through resolution.
  • •Maintain and improve incident response TTPs and deliver incident response training courses (at least four per calendar year), supporting CSSP accreditation documentation and audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent training/certifications plus experience).
  • •5+ years of practical experience in a cybersecurity, engineering, T&E, or A&A-related field.
  • •Demonstrated experience conducting cyber incident response on DoW networks and performing digital forensics.
  • •Proficiency collecting/analyzing logs, system images, and other artifacts; strong root cause analysis and mitigation understanding.
  • •Must possess baseline DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) and obtain an additional computing environment certification within six months of hire.
