Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, using demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control while collaborating with engineering.
  • •Create, release, and update new project materials strategy with limited or no supervision; execute commercialization (transition) materials plans.
  • •Support sourcing activities including supplier price/delivery negotiations, preferred supplier selection/assessment, supplier risk assessments, and performance monitoring (delivery, quality, cost).
  • •Manage materials change control, track total landed cost targets, generate/publish key process indicators, and mediate with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
