Job Summary

The Cyber Security Improvement Specialist is accountable for end-to-end management of one or more cyber security improvement initiatives aligned to the security strategy. You will lead stakeholder engagement, define scope, secure investment, mobilise resources, and ensure end-to-end delivery of initiatives (including SIEM/SOC) to raise security maturity and strengthen the organisation's security posture.

Key Responsibilities

•Establishing Initiatives: Scope initiatives, identify stakeholders, and plan communication; secure investment and define resources; mobilise artefacts and governance.
•Plan/Monitor/Control: Lead initiative teams, manage against time/cost/quality, act as systems integrator, create schedules and governance, manage risks and issues, and maintain change controls.
•Closing: Execute transition plans with BAU teams and ensure controlled closure of finances, user acceptance, and service acceptance; ensure compliance with policies.
•Compliance: Act in accordance with current policies; ensure data and cyber security obligations are met.
•Team Management: Build high performing initiative teams and deputise for the Cyber Security Improvement Lead as required

Key Requirements

•APMP, Prince 2, Prince 2 Agile or similar certification or appropriate level of experience
•Comprehensive knowledge about vulnerability and security policies such as ISO standards
•Experience of selection, negotiation and procurement of cyber security systems and tools;
•Proven experience of deployment and configuration of cyber security systems and tooling within large and complex organisations
•Experience of managing large scale and complex cyber security initiatives including SIEM and SOC
