Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and own HR compliance programs end-to-end, including governance, prioritization, sequencing, oversight, and ongoing evolution.
  • •Translate federal/state/local regulations into clear People processes, guidance, and training/enablement.
  • •Build and manage lifecycle compliance controls across hiring, role changes, compensation changes, and terminations, including policy maintenance and rollouts.
  • •Design and run audits/monitoring by implementing controls, establishing review cadence, and driving follow-through with People Ops.
  • •Lead worker classification oversight (exempt/non-exempt and contingent labor) and partner with Legal to interpret requirements and operationalize them consistently.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,200 - 151,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of experience in HR compliance, HR operations, or a related People function, with hands-on operationalization of compliance requirements.
  • •Hands-on ability to design audits and controls and partner with operational teams to execute compliance requirements.
  • •Strong working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and regulations, including multi-state/province environments and California employment law.
  • •Ability to design compliance frameworks and translate regulatory requirements into practical, scalable operational processes.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex requirements clearly and effectively.
