Key Responsibilities

  • •Run loader and earth-moving machinery to load, move, and handle aggregate and related materials for operation of the asphalt plant.
  • •Operate heavy equipment in the plant when trained, including supporting maintenance and construction tasks as assigned.
  • •Complete pre-operational checks and ensure equipment is clean, lubricated, and properly refilled.
  • •Assist the Plant Manager and/or Plant Foreman in coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
  • •Keep records and provide oral or written reports; help with assigned manual labor tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials in asphalt production.
  • •Conduct pre-operational checks and perform cleaning, lubrication, and refilling of equipment.
  • •Minimum high school diploma or GED, with ability to operate heavy and complex equipment requiring independent judgment.
  • •3 years of experience in public works maintenance and/or construction, including at least 1 year operating a variety of heavy equipment (or comparable related experience).
  • •Maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver’s license.
