Create prioritization frameworks to score and rank legislation and rulemakings, develop standardized reporting (e.g., weekly digests, monthly scorecards), and use AI tools to automate information gathering and generate first-draft summaries for review.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and build a legislative and regulatory tracking system spanning state and federal activity relevant to solar energy, domestic manufacturing, permitting, and grid policy.
•Develop a prioritization framework to score and rank tracked legislation and rulemakings based on impact, likelihood of passage, policy positions, and timeline.
•Create standardized reporting templates and cadences (e.g., weekly digests, monthly scorecards) for executive-ready summaries.
•Use AI tools to automate information gathering, flag new bill introductions and regulatory filings, and draft summaries for human review.
•Identify gaps and emerging policy trends and surface findings in a structured format for the Government Relations team.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 20 - 23 hourly

Key Requirements

•Junior/Senior student in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, Law, or a related field.
•Prior coursework or experience in legislative research, policy analysis, or government relations is preferred.
•Strong research and analytical skills to track and synthesize complex legislative and regulatory developments at the state and federal level.
•Comfort using AI tools and digital platforms to accelerate research, build tracking systems, and produce written outputs.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating policy content for executive audiences.
