Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants (e.g., respirable crystalline silica, dust, chemicals) and physical hazards (e.g., noise, vibration) to provide technical recommendations.
  • •Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies, including issuing clearances.
  • •Undertake site surveys with sampling of suspected hazardous building materials and conduct pre-demolition surveys.
  • •Provide technical guidance on sites during asbestos removal projects, including indoor air quality, mould, and moisture assessments with remediation recommendations.
  • •Manage small-medium scale projects and support strategy, business development, and the analysis of data for technical reports and proposals.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous asbestos/hazardous materials (Asbestos/HazMat) consultancy experience, or experience in asbestos identification/fibre counting or asbestos laboratory work.
  • •Experience measuring and assessing occupational exposure to workplace hazards, including chemical, physical, ergonomic, biological hazards.
  • •Ability to develop understanding of consulting and project life cycle, build client relationships, and maintain high service delivery standards.
  • •Strong report-writing skills and interest in building relationships and supporting project management.
  • •Australian Driver's License; Asbestos Assessors License is highly regarded.
