Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and support of complex applications and processes.
  • •Meet eMedNY program standards across specification development, coding, code review, unit and string testing, and related documentation.
  • •Create SDLC documentation artifacts for review and approval.
  • •Support production and other activities, resolving issues as they arise and assisting with effort and duration estimates for enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •5+ years of IT experience and 5+ years specifically with COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
  • •Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies and open systems interfaces.
  • •Experience with SQL and healthcare systems (e.g., NYS MMIS or other Healthcare).
  • •Knowledge of EDI standards including HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0.
