Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive experience in explosives operations, including practical experience with explosives safety, storage, transportation, and test or field execution.
  • •Hands-on experience executing or supporting explosive operations in operational, test, range, or field environments.
  • •In-depth knowledge of explosives/energetic-materials regulations, including DoD explosives safety regulations, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA, and applying them in operating environments (including DoD Manual 4145.26).
  • •Experience developing or enforcing SOPs, supporting safe operating practices, and handling incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • •Ability to work cross-functionally and travel up to 25%–50%; must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance (DoD Secret or DOE L), ATF background screening, and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (and any required CDL).
