Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently execute the HVAC discipline component of PS&E packages from concept through construction documents.
  • •Develop and apply HVAC design methodologies, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping design, and energy modeling with code compliance.
  • •Serve as Lead Verifier by confirming the technical approach satisfies the client's scope and expectations.
  • •Prepare and review complex HVAC technical specifications, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with applicable standards.
  • •Perform quality control on HVAC calculations/drawings/specifications and lead interdisciplinary reviews to resolve system conflicts.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • •Minimum 10 years of progressive HVAC engineering experience leading discipline deliverables on complex projects.
  • •In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including central air handling units, chilled water/heating hot water, VAV systems, exhaust/ventilation, and controls integration.
  • •Proficiency in HVAC load calculation and energy modeling software (e.g., Trane TRACE, eQUEST, HAP, or equivalent).
  • •Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (including ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, and local building codes).
