Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage monthly closing for assigned GL accounts, including long-term debt, royalty monetization liabilities, embedded derivative liabilities, software capitalization (ASC 350-40), prepayments/accruals, lease accounting (ASC 842), and fixed assets.
  • •Prepare monthly close workpapers, analyses, journal entries, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely expense, prepayment/deposit, and accrual recognition.
  • •Perform GL reconciliations and fluctuation analyses for assigned accounts.
  • •Review contracts for new purchase orders to ensure proper accounting treatment of expenses, prepaids, and accruals.
  • •Support SOX compliance and external audit/tax requests by preparing required schedules, confirmations, and PBC materials; coordinate with business units to resolve outstanding items.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
  • •7+ years of relevant experience in a publicly traded company, ideally combining Big 4 (or similar) SEC client experience with industry experience.
  • •Experience managing monthly close and reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
  • •Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini).
