Key Responsibilities

  • •Solve novel challenges using state-of-the-art tooling, models, and infrastructure.
  • •Build and enhance AI tooling infrastructure, including MCP implementations and internal AI-enabled CLIs.
  • •Research and develop high-value AI pathways, including multi-agent orchestration, to improve parts of the Canva SDLC.
  • •Keep ahead of industry advances via research and trials of third-party AI tooling; evaluate success metrics and adoption.
  • •Troubleshoot complex AI tooling issues and document solutions through technical documentation and presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience with Python and/or Go.
  • •Experience building AI tooling for software engineering (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).
  • •Understanding of APIs, integrations, and developer tooling.
  • •Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the overall SDLC.
  • •Ability to implement solutions from technical specifications and communicate/document technical work clearly.
