Key Responsibilities

  • •Define how AI should work across Jobber so intelligence flows across the entire product, not just within teams.
  • •Build and evolve a multi-team AI engineering organization to execute on the AI workflows and ecosystem vision.
  • •Own how decisions are made inside the system, how context moves across workflows, and when actions are triggered.
  • •Evaluate whether AI is actually working using offline and online approaches, while ensuring reliability, safety, and failure handling.
  • •Drive adoption and alignment across engineering, product, and the company by moving teams from feature thinking to system thinking.

Key Requirements

  • •Have led orgs through complexity, including managing managers across multiple teams and building scalable organizations.
  • •Build or lead production LLM/agentic systems with experience in agent orchestration, tool use, workflow execution, evaluation, and observability.
  • •Understand AI reliability, safety, guardrails, and failure modes in real systems; form opinions on evaluation and tradeoffs between autonomy vs. control.
  • •Think in systems, connect end-to-end user workflows, and partner deeply with Product and Design focused on customer outcomes.
  • •Demonstrate execution excellence by balancing shipping, infrastructure, and tech debt; know when to iterate vs. redesign.
