Job Summary

Provide nursing and/or midwifery support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife. Assist with patients’ activities of daily living, maintain evidence-based standards of care, document vital signs and treatment details, and promptly escalate changes in condition. Respond to emergencies, support post-discharge follow-up (including scheduling and referrals), and help with patient transportation while performing duties within the scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

•Under supervision, contribute to planning and delivery of nursing/midwifery care with a patient-centered approach.
•Assist patients with activities of daily living according to the patient care plan (e.g., meals, hygiene).
•Maintain nursing/midwifery care within evidence-based guidelines and unit competencies.
•Record and report vital sign observations and changes in patient condition, documenting appropriately.
•Respond to emergencies per policies and perform Basic Life Support within scope.

Key Requirements

•Have an appropriate license to work as an assistant nurse/assistant midwife with required qualifications and experience per the relevant regulatory health authority.
•Manage your own professional re-licensure.
•Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
