Job Summary

Support and optimize the RTL-to-GDS design flow within AMD’s CAD and methodology team for the Adaptive & Embedded Computing Group. Work across synthesis, place-and-route, and physical signoff, deploy and improve tool/PDK environments, develop and troubleshoot automated flow methodologies, and collaborate with Silicon teams and external CAD vendors. Build flow scripting in TCL and Python to improve execution speed, timing/power/EM-IR quality, and engineering efficiency across semiconductor projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the CAD infrastructure team on the RTL-to-GDS flow across multiple IC design projects.
•Maintain standardized RTL-to-GDS design flows and methodologies from synthesis through P&R to signoff.
•Implement and support customized RTL-to-GDS flows for Fabric design groups, including tool deployments and environment alignment.
•Develop and troubleshoot tool-flow methodologies covering timing, power, EM/IR, and DRC/LVS/DFM across the digital back-end.
•Build automation in TCL and Python, and work with external CAD vendors to meet design and development targets.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: MYR 126,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Programming/scripting fundamentals for RTL-to-GDS flow automation (e.g., TCL, Python, PERL or similar).
•Experience with RTL synthesis and place-and-route flows (e.g., Fusion Compiler / IC Compiler / Innovus or equivalent).
•Static timing analysis and constraints (e.g., PrimeTime / SDC).
•Working knowledge of PDK and technology enablement for design flows.
•Background in physical signoff and verification (e.g., Calibre DRC/LVS/DFM; extraction; Totem/Redhawk for EM/IR) and low-power methodology (UPF).
