Job Summary

Lead highly complex joint venture accounting projects independently with limited supervision. Coordinate acquisition, divestiture, and new venture activities, act as a resource across Finance and Tax, and interpret contractual agreements. Review joint venture financial risks and design mitigation strategies to support risk-informed decisions. Ensure COPAS and GAAP compliance through established control procedures, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and data quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct and document highly complex joint venture accounting projects independently and lead change initiatives.
•Coordinate acquisition, divestiture, and new venture activities across accounting and the business.
•Review joint venture financial risk reports and strategize mitigation strategies to support risk-informed decision-making.
•Ensure adherence to COPAS standards, GAAP, and control procedures; establish procedures to uphold financial integrity and compliance.
•Mentor junior staff, provide direction and guidance, assume supervision in the absence of management, and contribute to performance reviews.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
•7+ years of relevant experience in JV Accounting, financial analysis and reporting, or a related field.
•Process automation and optimization experience using data analysis and/or automation software tools and techniques (preferred).
•Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) procedures.
•Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
