Job Summary

Provide technical systems support by troubleshooting, tearing down, repairing, refurbishing, assembling, testing, and installing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including fault isolation, LRU replacement, calibration, and certification. Install and maintain NAS radomes and support tower inspections and maintenance at significant heights, while completing required reporting in DCRS and coordinating with crew leads and customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, tear down, repair, refurbish, overhaul, assemble, test, and install designated electronic components and equipment to return unserviceable items to serviceable status.
•Perform engineering technician services including troubleshooting, repair, assembly, refurbishment, installation, calibration, and testing in accordance with FAA and FAALC standards and technical documentation.
•Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including fault isolation and replacement of failed Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
•Install and maintain NAS radomes and perform structural inspections and maintenance on tower systems at heights in excess of 50 feet (up to 750 feet).
•Complete required reporting (including entering time into DCRS) and coordinate with crew leads, internal/external customers, and management; may require emergency call-outs.

Key Requirements

•An associate degree in electrical or engineering technology, or completion of equivalent formal technical training courses.
•Practical experience in an electronic technician support position, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
•Minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering technician or related technical support role.
•Ability to work independently and support leadership functions such as planning, coordination, and task execution.
•Ability to successfully complete a physical fitness evaluation with weight restrictions of minimum 125 lbs and maximum 290 lbs.
