Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and light/major repairs, including advanced vehicle diagnostics and resolving complex issues.
  • •Conduct repairs based on certification levels across systems such as OBD II, brakes, tires, tune-ups, suspension, electrical systems, and state safety inspections.
  • •Maintain shop productivity by supervising a small staff, providing work direction, setting priorities, and coaching technicians.
  • •Ensure quality control by performing inspections on work, reporting safety concerns, and implementing SOPs and compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, and local codes).
  • •Coordinate parts and repairs with vendors and manage equipment/tools and vehicle history/maintenance records, including equipment design/moderate fabrication as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of experience (or an alternate combination such as 5 years with additional related certification/degree, or 9 years in a related field).
  • •Possess or be able to attain Master Level ASE certification (preferred).
  • •Extensive training and preferred 5–10 years of hands-on diesel repair experience, including transmission experience (preferred).
  • •Ability to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, with a current DOT medical card meeting the stated validity requirement.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission while working safely in a fast-paced environment.
