Job Summary

Lead and supervise concrete delivery professionals, batching, dispatch operations, and plant operations for the South Austin plant. Drive a safe, high-performance environment by ensuring Health & Safety compliance, managing daily workforce needs, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing plant uptime and on-time delivery. Oversee equipment and vehicle maintenance, coordinate raw material orders, manage inventory, and support quality assurance through daily product testing and DOT-compliant stockpiles.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide leadership, training, supervision, and support to concrete delivery professionals, batch concrete operations, and plant maintenance.
•Ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation and company policies; conduct Take 5 meetings and safety inspections.
•Evaluate, oversee, and manage dispatch operations; manage the workforce daily and monitor attendance and on-time performance.
•Oversee vehicle and equipment service/maintenance, including routine plant maintenance, equipment upkeep, and stormwater/spill prevention program.
•Perform quality assurance by conducting and recording daily product testing, maintaining calibration/moisture probes, and ensuring batching follows mix design and job specifications.

Key Requirements

•3-5 years’ experience with Ready Mix Concrete is required.
•Supervise and control personnel (staff supervision experience is a plus; will supervise union employees).
•Communicate efficiently and effectively with customers and all company personnel.
•Extensive knowledge of the surrounding area and the company’s products and services.
•Must be able to solve problems and make good judgment calls under pressure; read/write/speak English and read/understand maps.
