Key Responsibilities

  • •Set the Experimentation Platform strategy and define how data scientists contribute metrics, reports, and templates to the platform.
  • •Verify XP’s data allocation, logging, and processing using trustworthy causal inference methods, and help automate recurring validation.
  • •Serve as a strategic thought partner across data science and engineering, translating DS needs into platform engineering implementation.
  • •Influence experimentation at scale by defining standards for inference practices and driving adoption across diverse data science teams.
  • •Consolidate fragmented experimentation systems into a coherent, maintainable platform and mentor team members on platform use and methodology.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • •8+ years using statistics/causal inference in an experimentation context, including designing experiments at scale and diagnosing failures.
  • •Proven ability to set standards or build tools adopted across multiple teams or an organization.
  • •Strong knowledge of experimentation pitfalls such as peeking, covariate adjustment, false discovery rate, and allocation vs. analysis unit mismatches.
  • •5+ years using data science languages ideally including Python and SQL, with comfort partnering on API/schema/system design.
