Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform network modelling and design on DigSILENT PowerFactory, IPSA, DINIS, PSS-SINCAL and other network modelling applications.
  • •Conduct load flow analysis, thermal analysis, voltage constraint analysis, and fault level analysis for major connections and generation projects.
  • •Prepare G99 compliant offer letters for EHV/HV major connections on behalf of DNOs and TSOs.
  • •Manage teams (up to 10 staff) assigned to DNO and TSO clients and act as a trusted advisor at Director/Head of Division level.
  • •Design and configure Active Network Management schemes (including curtailment analysis) and support protection design for infrastructure projects at 33kV, including battery storage farms and data centre electrical infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Masters degree or PhD or Bachelors degree in Power Systems engineering (or equivalent power domain training).
  • •Ability to perform load flow, thermal and voltage constraint, and fault level analysis for DNO/TSO and large power infrastructure projects.
  • •Specialised exposure to UK/Ireland power distribution or transmission networks at 132KV and above (including major overseas networks).
  • •Experience with power systems modelling tools including DigSILENT PowerFactory, PSS-E, PSS-SINCAL and IPSA.
  • •Working understanding of creating automation/AI solutions for power network systems using Python or DigSILENT programming language.
