Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete software development tasks by writing new code and primarily supporting Mission System and Support tools, including fixing bugs as directed by the Director of Engineering.
  • •Design and implement new software modules and maintain/update existing source code while adhering to company standards.
  • •Complete tasks to an agreed schedule and identify likely delays or failures early, communicating them immediately to the Director of Engineering.
  • •Participate in ad-hoc discussions with other developers to assist in generating ideas, solving bugs, and designing software applications.
  • •Handle complex problem-solving through individual work or team collaboration based on project requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent overseas qualification (such as NZCE).
  • •Top academic achiever (minimum Distinction average) or demonstrated relevant previous experience.
  • •Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • •Ability to solve complex problems individually or as part of a team, depending on project requirements.
  • •Strong C++, JavaScript and ReactJs development skills, with experience designing and implementing new software modules and maintaining/updating source code to company standards.
