Job Summary

Deliver high-quality Mermaid experiences for Atlantis Dubai, including underwater shows, meet-and-greets, and themed events. Serve as a senior role model for professionalism, safety awareness, and guest-focused performance standards. Support daily operational planning and show readiness, assist with equipment and costume maintenance, and help train and mentor Mermaid Trainees. Maintain dive logs, follow emergency procedures, and contribute ideas to improve the program.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform as a mermaid in underwater shows, meet-and-greets, and themed events, delivering safe, engaging, and polished guest experiences in line with Atlantis standards.
•Swim in a mermaid tail while executing choreographed routines or improvisational movements; participate in rehearsals, costume fittings, and promotional activities.
•Support daily operational planning and show readiness, including room readiness, tail readiness, prop readiness, and performance standards for Mermaid shows and guest-facing activations.
•Assist with care, maintenance, and cleaning of mermaid costumes and equipment; maintain ownership areas and log/report equipment malfunctions.
•Support training and development of Mermaid Trainees and Mermaids, act as a senior role model, attend meetings/trainings, and maintain dive logs and records.

Key Requirements

•2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Mermaid performance, aquatic performance, guest entertainment, synchronized swimming, freediving, diving, dance, theatre, character performance, or comparable guest-facing experience.
•Minimum 1 year of experience supporting training, mentoring, show standards, guest-facing program delivery, or operational ownership areas.
•Certified free diver with a recognized free diving certification.
•Recognized Mermaid certification.
•Must successfully complete annual departmental swim test and be able to hold breath underwater for extended periods.
