Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to install circuits and equipment, determine material needs, and repair electrical problems.
  • •Inspect, repair, install, connect, service, and calibrate electrical equipment and circuits, including control, dignals, and communication systems in underground and surface operations.
  • •Make electrical and related mechanical repairs on equipment such as fans, electric locomotives, and battery charging station equipment, including switchgear.
  • •Troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits, system controls, and protection devices; replace components and access/troubleshoot programmable control systems and computer outlets.
  • •Weld to install electrical equipment and perform soldering, cutting, heating, and brazing; inspect, repair, and test mine hoist and auxiliary equipment.
