Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the hands-on technical partner for strategic customers implementing Datadog Feature Flags, from pre-sales validation through post-sales delivery.
  • •Consult on feature flag architecture and implementation approach for complex, high-scale multi-service/multi-platform environments.
  • •Build prototype feature flag implementations directly in customer codebases to prove value and reduce risk early in the sales cycle.
  • •Implement flags across server-side, client-side, edge, mobile, and streaming/real-time deployment modes tailored to customer needs.
  • •Drive full migrations, including legacy cutover, and identify patterns to feed improvements back to Product and Engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on coding ability across the deployed stack.
  • •Experience with feature flagging, experimentation, or config management systems (internal or vendor).
  • •Ability to ramp quickly in unfamiliar codebases, languages, and frameworks.
  • •Experience shipping production code and understanding the difference between prototypes and production migrations.
  • •Customer-facing experience (or strong motivation) to work with customer engineers and adapt to their constraints.
