Key Responsibilities

•Support planning, design, and deployment of ITS infrastructure (traffic management systems, fiber optic communications, CCTV, dynamic message signs, connected vehicle technologies).
•Use the systems engineering process for ITS and emerging technology projects from concept through implementation.
•Create design plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical memoranda, and reports.
•Perform ITS and traffic engineering design tasks including device layout, communications network design, and traffic analysis and safety evaluations.
•Coordinate with clients/agencies/subconsultants and support business development activities such as proposal preparation.

•Experience supporting state or local transportation agencies (e.g., INDOT) or municipal clients.
•Familiarity with ITS communications systems, network architecture, and field device integration.
