Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee company-wide compliance processes, define control mechanisms, manage approval workflows, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (BaFin, AML, CTF, GDPR, PSD2, KYC)
•Develop and conduct targeted compliance and data protection trainings and build structured reporting including regular CODIR presentations
•Coordinate with business areas and management and liaise with external law firms and service providers on legal questions
•Handle incoming data protection requests as the first technical contact, including assessment, prioritization and implementation of GDPR-compliant measures
•Implement group data protection standards and maintain data protection systems (e.g., OneTrust) with consistent data maintenance
•Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on data protection questions and ongoing projects
•Serve as the first point of contact for AI-related questions, evaluate AI risks, document use cases and coordinate with IT security
•Ensure regulatory compliance in AI deployments and monitor existing AI systems
•Steer internal AI compliance projects and translate guidelines into actionable standards and risk analyses
•Advise leadership on legal questions and prepare well-founded recommendations with external counsel
•Review and maintain all contract documents and establish a structured contract management process

Key Requirements

•Legal degree (LL.B or LL.M) and the ability to assess legal questions independently
•Multiple years of experience in compliance, data protection or governance
•Strong knowledge of BaFin, AML/CTF, KYC, GDPR, PSD2 and current AI regulatory developments
•Experience analyzing compliance and privacy processes and implementing practical, scalable solutions
•Strong communication and advisory skills with executives and stakeholders
