Job Summary

Lead the country-level Risk Management function for the Mumbai branch, overseeing Credit, Market, Operational, wholesale, legal and reputation risks. Build and lead a strong risk organization, ensure compliance with local regulations and Mashreq standards, and coordinate with HO Risk, MANCO, and Group Risk on governance, ESG, and risk reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the country-level Risk Management function, overseeing all risks classes for the branch in coordination with HO Risk and senior management.
•Build and lead a strong risk organization, ensuring compliance with local regulations, Mashreq Group standards, and international best practices.
•Collaborate with senior management, MANCO, and Group Risk to support strategic objectives, while establishing governance frameworks and providing operational risk support across business units.
•Coordinate and act as focal point for Country-Level ESG related matters.
•Develop, implement, and monitor risk reporting and ICAAP processes to ensure timely and effective risk management.

Key Requirements

•University graduate with Masters qualifications
•Professional qualification in business / commerce / economics / law
•High degree of credit skills (credit, analytical, judgmental) and geographic locations
•Excellent written / verbal communication skills
•Minimum 10-15 years of experience of credit at similar level in banking across 3 geographies
